SwiphtThings — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 June 2026

In a sentence

SwiphtThings does not collect, transmit, or store your data on any server we control. Your tasks, projects, and notes live on your devices and, optionally, in your private iCloud.

Who publishes SwiphtThings

SwiphtThings is published by Pengfan Chang, trading as Swipht Group, as an independent developer. Contact: swiphtthings@swiphtgroup.com.

For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, this address is also the contact for matters under the GDPR / UK GDPR.

What the app handles, and where it goes

Tasks, projects, areas, tags, and notes

Stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. A future update will offer optional sync through your private iCloud (CloudKit), hosted by Apple, not by us. With Advanced Data Protection enabled on your Apple Account, that data is end-to-end encrypted.

Reminders and notifications

Scheduled locally on your device for due and deferred items. No notification content is sent to a server we operate.

Purchase information

The unlock and optional yearly feature update are processed by Apple under Apple's terms. We receive only the App Store receipt confirming an active entitlement on your Apple Account. We never see your name, address, payment method, or Apple Account email.

Diagnostics

SwiphtThings contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no third-party tracker. If you opted in to Apple's "Share with App Developers" diagnostics, Apple may forward aggregated, de-identified crash data to us. You can turn this off in your device settings at any time.

Required-Reason API disclosures

  • UserDefaults (CA92.1) — to store your preferences, perspective and review state, and cached entitlement status.

We do not sell or share your data

We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. SwiphtThings ships with no advertising or analytics integrations.

Your rights

  • Access & portability — open the app to read your data; export projects and tasks where the app provides export.
  • Correction — edit any item at any time.
  • Erasure — delete items in the app; uninstalling removes on-device data. Remove the iCloud copy from your device or iCloud settings.

To exercise rights under GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA / CPRA / LGPD or any analogous law, write to swiphtthings@swiphtgroup.com.

Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy as the app or applicable law evolves. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent change, and material changes are summarised in the app's release notes.
